Aboriginal Prints

The aboriginal style prints for 2010/11 are derived from Rosie Miller’s exquisite Australian Aboriginal paintings.  Rosie is from the Mirning tribe (whale tribe), South Australia. Lisa Burke, the designer, has united with friends Rosie Miller and Bunna Lawrie, a close relative of Rosie and one of the last traditional whale dreamers on earth, to help win the good fight to save the whales and dolphins. Lisa is delighted to bridge the ancient world with the modern world and bring a greater appreciation to the original cultural beauty of Australia. You will see Lisa together with the beautiful indigenous model Tamara Flanagan modelling Lisa Blue and decorated with the Mirning tribe’s face paint. Lisa has been given permission from the elders to the honour of using the art work and the face paint designs.
